English: SQUARELY COPENHAGEN sets new standards for Green Living

June 23, 2022

SQUARELY COPENHAGEN is a design brand founded in 2018 in Copenhagen by architect Agnieszka Szwarczewska. SQUARELY COPENHAGEN is born of the desire to build a future where everyone enjoys the uncountable benefits of a truly green environment – at home and work – with minimal effort and maximal well-being.

Combining well-balanced Danish design with high-quality excess wood and a unique self-watering system, SQUARELY COPENHAGEN creates a new category of “furniture for plants.” Plants love it, growing effortlessly, inside and outside. Nature and people love it, as existing materials are used and reused to create living spaces that clean and refresh both air and mind.

Endless possibilities for endless green spaces. Indoors and outdoors.

Easy plant care

The innovative self-watering system, developed by SQUARELY COPENHAGEN, allows the plants to get precisely the amount of water the plants need while saving people’s time and effort on watering.

All SQUARELY COPENHAGEN’s planters come with an integrated self-watering system. With the help of capillary forces, the soil is naturally and continuously supplied with moisture so that the plants stay perfectly hydrated. It is required to water only 1-3 times a month - this saves time and energy. Everyone can enjoy lush green plants despite the hustle and bustle of everyday life - even in a dry summer.

Sustainable actions

Excess wood
SQUARELY COPENGHAGEN uses high-quality excess wood from other productions, sourced within the EU, close to the production sites. The wood is treated with pigmented and chemical-free oil to make the planters durable even in harsh outdoor conditions.

Recycled plastic
The containers for plants and water are made from recycled plastic to reuse waste and reduce the consumption of valuable raw materials.

Production in Europe
SQUARELY COPENHAGEN cherish the close collaboration with the mainly small, family-run production sites in Europe.

Contribution to well-being
The benefits of plants and wood go far beyond aesthetics. Green spaces balance the humidity levels and airborne dust levels and reduce different pollutants.

Slow Design:
SQUARELY COPENHAGEN promotes slow design, with a permanent collection of products that customers can collect throughout the years. They do not make seasonal collections that are withdrawn, meaning a lot of waste. All the products are sold.

Products:
SQUARELY COPENHAGEN’s collection comprises planters in various sizes: The smallest planters GrowSMALL and GrowON can be mounted on walls, placed on window sills, desks, tables or used outdoors on balconies.

The medium models, GrowWIDE and GrowMORE, fit well to both private apartments and office spaces, while the biggest planters GrowBIG and GrowLARGE are well suited for larger indoor places and terraces.
GrowON and GrowWIDE are largely used for creating green walls.

The new collection features SHOJI Room divider, a true furniture for plants, combining acoustic screening function with greenery. The new Console shelf-table combined with wooden planters is a stylish and functional green furniture for any private or office space.

All products are made of ash and oak wood, treated with oil, and they are suitable for outdoor and indoor use. SQUARELY COPENHAGEN’s collection is to be found in  private apartments, offices, work spaces, restaurants, hotels,  SPA areas, and stores.
